This programme assumes professional context. Applications are reviewed holistically, but the capstone asks you to govern a real system, and that is difficult without having worked near one.
- A bachelor's degree with an average of 50% or higher
- Two or more years in IT, cyber security, information security, governance or compliance
- Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, risk management or regulatory policy
- Basic understanding of AI and ML concepts, and of business processes

The programme admits a cohort every month. Places are capped, so applying early is the surest way to secure the cohort you want.
All classes are held online only, owing to the high volume of applications. Live sessions run on Saturday and Sunday, 1:30–4:30 PM GMT.

Frequently asked questions
Before you apply
Are classes held online or on campus?
Online only. Live masterclasses run on Fridays and Saturdays, with recorded sessions and virtual lab access so a missed session does not cost you the module.
When do cohorts begin?
Cohorts commence every month. Applications close on the 1st and classes begin on the 25th. Applicants are encouraged to apply six to eight weeks ahead of the deadline.
Do I need a technical background?
No, but you need to be willing to acquire one. Phase 1 covers AI and ML concepts from a governance perspective specifically so that compliance and legal professionals can follow the technical material in phases 2 and 3.
How is this different from a general compliance certification?
It is specific to AI systems and to the three frameworks that currently govern them. The capstone is an auditable governance framework for a high-risk industry, not a written examination.
What is the weekly workload?
Four weeks is a compressed schedule. Expect the weekend sessions plus assessed work during the week; the capstone runs through phase 3.
What roles does this prepare me for?
AI ethics officer, AI governance manager, AI governance leader, responsible-AI lead, and policy advisor roles, as well as extending an existing audit, risk or compliance remit to cover AI systems.
